After reading all the great stuff about CC....I decided to give it a try!!! Half way thru the Ocean Fish formula with no issues at all! I am a pre-made raw feeder for a few years now and decided to switch it up. I am feeding CC for the am feeding and raw for dinner....So far so GOOD!! Thank you to all for the helpful reviews:) !!

No. But a friend of mine feeds her Pom Pup the chicken and Loves it. Hasn't had any issues.

It is Fine for small breeds.

Is it ok to free feed them CC?
(I would still make their home cooked meals at night)

It is a personal choice whether you want to go grain free, or not. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the formulas.

The Synergy veggie shows garlic as an ingrediant, I thought that wasnt good to give them?
It is Fine.

My lils have pretty much eaten chicken breast and lean ground beef, and tilapia fish... which product would you all recommend I start them off with?

I bought two different Fromm products (surf & turf/chicken) and they wanted nothing to do with it :(

You may want to call and speak with a CC Rep. regarding which formula would be best for your furbabies.

I just ordered CC, Vension and Split Pea formula, it should be here soon, so I will let you know how it works out for Foxy...

So is it ok to feed CC in the morning and raw at night? I had Moses on Primal Raw and he was gaining too much weight and was always hungry. But after 1 1/2 bags of CC, I have noticed a change in his fur. I don't know if the food would cause that. We recently were gone for 10 days and Moses stayed with my daughter and her cat at her house. I don't know if the stress of that affected him this way. He also has a small bald spot on the side of his ribs and I am not sure if the cat pulled his hair out or not. They ram, roll and play 24/7 when they are together and she still has her claws...any ideas? His fur isn't as curly on his body as it was and is sort of cottony.

As long as you don't mix kibble w/raw together in 1 meal, I think feeding them @ different meals is fine. Since kibble takes longer to digest & go through their system, maybe feeding raw in the am & kibble in the pm would be best?
Which formula of CC are you feeding? I would highly doubt that the bald spot is from the cat...:eek: IDK, maybe a vet can do a skin scrape to rule out any skin problems.

I have never seen my boys love a food or a flavor as much as they are loving the CC Wilderness. :thumbup::thumbup:

I would take him into the vet. It could be ring worm.

For My RyRy, It Suuuure Is!!!! You know of all the food trouble I went through... over 7-months ago now! UUGGHH!!!! That was Awful! I Loooove rolling Riley over and kissing his Clear Belly!! :D

Different formula every day
 
I bought two of the 1lb bags each in the Wilderness, Open Sky and Wild Ocean. He just finished a 4lb bag of the Wilderness... so I opened the Wild Ocen and Open Sky and have been giving him a different formula every day. I always do the same for breakfast and dinner, but every day has been a different formula! You want to see One Happy Pup!!?? Unbelievable :thumbup: :thumbup: :) :)

I found a store in Norco that carries cc and plan on picking up some this afternoon. What type would you start with. I also have a new foster, approximately 2 years old. The poor baby has a broken leg that will be repaired tomorrow so I'll have him for about 2 months until he's fully recovered. He was bathed and shaved down today to get rid of all the mats since his grooming will be limited in the near future. However now he is one big flake. When you pet him you get dry fkakes onyour clothing and hands. I know a lot of people have had good luck with rashes but what about the dry flakes? Do you think he needs additional supplements? Normally I would do frequent medicated baths which have worked on other dogs in the past but that obviously won't be an option for a while.
