It stinks to high heaven!:doh34: They LOVE it tho...I have to hold my breath & breathe through my mouth when I give it to them.:tongue4: I bet they'd love rolling on it too loll!

Great. I have about 5 pounds in my freezer from Darwin's. I haven't opened it yet. At least now I know to be prepared. I have duck necks too. Duck necks are gross. They look like limp penises when they pups are running around with them in their mouths. But they LOVE them.

I just grabbed a can from the local pet store/boutique bc I read on YT & online that it's very good for them. Had no idea what it was gonna look like or smell like, yucky peeU loll!

That stuff will knock a buzzard off a gut cart!!! There are things in this world that may be good for my babies, but they will NEVER have the opportunity to partake in consumption of such!!!!!! I figure what they dont know, they cant miss!!!!!

Does it do anything to their breath or hmm back end??? Im just thinking my dogs love kisses but if it smells that bad ...ugh...and sometimes Rosie will have gas so bad it'll knock you out when she fluffs...hmmm

Ok I am a little confused. They sell tripe in the market. In a package where the meat it. It doesn't smell. Italians cool it with tomato sauce. My family likes it. I am not a fan. It never smelled. I was wondering why is it so stinky

I doubt they clean the tripe the same way they do for human consumption. We eat tripe in pho, its very white and doesn't smell. Also in menudo, but many places don't clean them properly and can make the soup stinky.
I think the same goes for smelly bullys, they don't rinse them enough.

I feed 2 of mine raw, & their teeth are white & no smell...even after eating green tripe. I tend to smell their toothbrush after I clean their teeth, I want to know if I really got the plaque out loll & their toothbrush doesn't smell at all. That's one of the many benefits from eating raw.

I've wanted to try tripe for quite some time and I have been warned that it is pretty smelly....I've never seen it though....What store did you get it from?

Its nasty, nasty stuff.. My dogs wouldnt touch it. I gave it to the stray cats..

I got it @ a local independent pet store, it's called Tripett, made in Canada. You can search for a location near you on their website or buy it online. Only downside to purchasing online is that they sell it by the case...I think.
I've been reading the comments on dogfoodadvisor & Tripett has carrageenan in it?!:thumbdown I didn't know, didn't even read the ingredients, it did have jelly stuff on the sides, but I scraped all that off. I'll be looking for an alternative. Not sure if I can stomach the real thing, the one in the can just looks like canned food, but a moldy green color loll.

I first started eating it in pho. It's very white and a little "crunchy"? LOL like the texture of jellyfish, oh wait, that's probably not helpful. :cool: Wakame salad? (Japanese seaweed salad?) Oh come on I KNOW someone knows that one! Jenny?

Anyway, my dad doesn't like it, my mom does. He told me they were worms. :D So of course I didn't want to eat them at first, then I smartened up and realized they couldn't be worms. Doesn't really taste like too much actually. I'm eh on them now.

But in menudo! OMG totally different texture. It's way soft, and just tastes like soft fat most of the time. I've had some bad menudo and it was not tender and stringy and chewy too. Blech!

But I wouldn't want to give the green tripe to Uni. I can't even stand the bully stick smell. We stick with Himalayan chews. :)

I'm not adventurous when it comes to food & I'm very picky w/my meat. I only tried pho w/seafood, yummy. When I was younger, I was scared of trying shrimp & my brother told me to try it, that I'll like it. Even then I didn't try it for the longest time! There's lots of things I haven't tried & not plan to anytime soon. Yeah, that texture thing alone would freak me out loll!

Princess & Momo had soft poopies today:( they can't handle higher fat foods, they only had a teaspoon. They won't be getting anymore, will probably throw it out.:p

Whaaaa? but you're Korean right? Korean food is great with all those weird ban chan that I love and have NO idea what I'm eating! :p I want to talk to someone who eats those baby octopus with the tentacles still wiggling around. :eek:

Yup, I love Korean BBQ! But it has to be cancerously very well done & I'll only eat the marinated thin sliced meats. If you see a very smoky table, that will be mine haha! Lots of the side dishes are veggies, but anything funky like squid or octopus legs & baby octopus is a no go for me! Again, just the texture alone would make me faint or do the wiggle jiggle get it off me dance loll.

As a full blooded Italian....I love some tripe....I can't imagine that we are talking about the same tripe we partake in with our sauce....but then again, I think Bully's are disgusting and you all don't.....hahahaha
