baby food Is it ok to put baby food on top of hard dog food? |
Yes, but only the Gerber's Stage 2 chicken, beef, or turkey or similar brands. No fancier dinner types. |
Can you also so the fruit or should I just stick to regular fruit. |
I have used the Chicken and Beef baby food. I have also used the Gerber Graduate Puffs as treats. If you get into the habit of this, they will always expect it. I would just give regular fruit. NO Grapes. |
The reason for me asking is because I feed her science diet and I put cesar soft dog food on top. This is the only way she will eat hard dog food. I noticed when I started using cesar is when her eyes started to water. At this point I dont know what I can put on top to make her eyes no longer water. |
I see people looking... |
I always use the organic baby food- I always use the sweet potato, carrots, peas, squash- Make sure you read the label’s and it does not contain onion or garlic. You can always buy sweet potato, or squash cook them and put a little of that on top! |
O wow I am late I didnt even know they made organic baby food...where have I been????? I am really thinking about trying the baby food to see if it works. I have noticed since I have started giving her the green beans, eggs, and fruit her eyes have not been watering as much but I cant seem to get her to eat her hard dog food. |
You can find them everywhere- they are good priced at Walmart!! What Science Diet is she on and why? That could be the culprit. I honestly wouldn't put anything on top of her dog food- once you start doing that you run into problems where she won’t eat it if there is nothing on top of it! If feeding a quality food- you don’t need to add any “toppers” I would really limit her on the eggs- what fruit are you feeding her? |
