Acting Weird I am not sure what she's doing, but she will randomly start chewing when nothing is in her mouth and while doing that is it looks like shes trying to yawn but she's not cause she'll do it over and over again. While doing both of those things she kinda lets out a mild gasp for air. It's like she's having a face spasm. I don't know what it is but it doesn't seem to bother her, she'll kiss me while doing it. She also breaths fine and acts normal except she's doing weird things with her face. |
I'd take her to the vet... sounds like a possible problem with her teeth or jaw... |
She just started doing it and depending on the frequency I will get her into a vet. I was thinking maybe she had a sore jaw because I have her a new elk antler that she spent a better part of the day yesterday and the day before chewing on it. And she just started doing this yesterday evening. |
Watch to make sure she can eat and drink effectively... |
She's only done it maybe 3 times that I've seen. She's eating and drink just fine. =P |

Make sure there is no hair from the corner of her mouth that worked itself inside her mouth. Piccolo does the weirdest things when that happens and I had to take her to the vet the first time because I could not see it. (The hair was going down her throat and it was about 3 inches long.) |
Of course it would be wonderful if you could catch it on video for the vet. Is she still doing it? If so, probably need to have a vet check for any changes in behavior. Since they can't talk or explain, sometimes all we have are these little unusual things to go by that something could be wrong. If there is a physical problem, usually catching it early can prevent a lot of extra suffering and even save money in the long run. |
Blazer did something like that a while back and it turns out that he had a bead stuck on his tooth! |
