Yorkie Ear Hair Any tips on pulling ear hair out? I saw a YouTube video and it looks like you just use some surgical clamps and yank it out, but I can't see Ruger putting up with that. The reason for my question is that Ruger has been favoring his ears. The vet gave me some drops for his ears, but also said his ear hair may be compounding or actually causing the problem. He's going to the groomer tomorrow but it would be nice if I could do this myself between groomings. Thanks |
Tibbe hardly grows any inside but every 18 mos. or so, I have the vet's office "do" his ear hair. But once in a while I do it some and I learned to just reach in, grasp the ear hairs a few at a time at the base & pull. They come right out & it doesn't hurt the dog. Some people use the special powder to help make the ear hair easier to hold onto. |
