Fromm flavors your dog likes? We are a little over 1/2 way through our bag of Salmon a la Veg. I have to order it from Mr Chewy's so I need a little lead time on which flavor to try next. The boys like the Salmon a la Veg but it is time for a break from Salmon. They were eating NB Salmon & Sweet Potato before this (went through 2 bags). So this was there 3rd Salmon flavored bag of food. What other Fromm flavors are popular with your dog? Thanks :aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
Toki's favorite was definitely the Gamebird! And she also really liked the Surf n Turf! But it is hard to tell which she preferred for sure since she inhaled every flavor she tried! |
Riley really Liked the chicken a la veg and the pork and apple sauce... He unfortunately had a reaction to the grains in it... But if he hadn't I would more than likely still be feeding it... I really like the company!! |
Jackson is a freak over Beef Fritta and Game Bird. But the Game Bird is kinda giving his beard/breath a funky smell... not sure I like it!! Beef Fritta gave him soft-ish poops even after a whole bag. No issues as of yet with Game Bird, we are halfway through, and poops have been harder. But the smell ... oh god!! I really love Fromm, so want to stick with it. After the soft poo issue on Beef, I thought I'd try something else, so we bought a bag of Pure Vita Bison and he absolutely loathed the food... HATED it... wasn't worth the hard poops. I like him to really enjoy his meal and he's so obsessed with Fromm, he will do tricks for it (very unusual for him with kibble). So luckily Game Bird seems to be good on the poop side, but bad on the smell side! He does fantastic on Fromm in all other regards, he's been looking extra shiny lately, even tho no bath in 2 weeks. He's been extra active, just seems to be feeling really good. His muscles seem more noticeable even! Have yet to try the grain inclusive Chicken a la Veg one, so may do that, just to give a shot. |

I really really really want him to do well on Fromm. I seriously love them so much, lol. I have a lot of respect for their company. Just love the way they do business. I also love getting responses from them from Fromm family members, etc. They are also very honest. And honestly, they are the only kibble I've never read a bad thing about. Anyways, his poo was just never where I wanted it to be on the Beef Fritta... always fairly soft (nothing major) but softer than I "like". I only fed it for one 4lb bag so maybe just needed more time. But we're on Game Bird now and poop is much better, but I can't stand the smell! Did you notice any kind of smell? It seems to stay on Jackson's beard or something... but flavor-wise, Beef was his absolute fav. Was considering trying to find a way to add some extra fiber into his diet maybe through probiotics, or maybe just some kind of a treat. What about Surf and Turf or Salmon... are they fishy smelling or cause fishy smelling breath/face? |

oscar is not picky at all but the 2 flavors of fromm we have tried are beef fritata & game bird. I only feed the grain free. all my dogs were eating blue but they had the most horrible gas for some reason so i recently switched them back to fromm grain free and the the gas is gone.. Yay ! thankfully a local pet store started carrying fromm..... |
Max & Mickey have no "smell" issues with the Salmon a la Veg. Sounds like Surf & Turf, Chicken a la Veg or Game Bird might be good to try next. They are not having issues with the grains in Salmon a la Veg. |

I have never tried this food. My guys love Grandma Lucy's Chicken and most flavors of Addiction freeze dried. Is Fromm similar to these? Louise and Zachary |

hi, fromm is kibble. it comes in gold , classic, 4 star which is available in different flavors as well as grain free varietys.. |
Mine are all happy with Chicken a la Veg. So for me if it ain't broke don't fix it. |
We switch between the grain free Surf & Turf and also the Beef Frittata with no issues..... They love both flavors! |
My Lola has pancreatitis and the only one she can eat is Whitefish & Potato due to the fat/protein content. Both my babies LOVE it!!! |
Ordred a bag of Surf & Turf from Mr Chewys. Boys LOVE it! Mr Chewys was great. Bag arrived within 3 days from ordering! |

yes, i love mr chewys.com.. my oscar likes the surf n turf as well |
Jackson also loves Chicken a la Veg, I've discovered. So far I think Beef is his FAV but it gives him the softest poop. He seems like to like Game Bird and Chicken a la Veg about the same (maybe Game Bird a liiitttllleee bit more). |
The Salmon a la Veg is almost gone and with Hurricane Sandy hitting us soon (now today) I was worried Mr Chewy would not get the Surf & Turf here on time. It came so fast. I ordered it at night on Thursday and it was at my door 2 days later on Saturday. As soon as I know what flavors they like I can order enough small bags for free shipping. I thought the $5 flat fee was fair. I feel much better knowing my dogs have enough food to ride out the storm. Mickey especially loves the Surf & Turf. :aimeeyork How are you doing over there Brister/Jackson? It is raining here and getting windy in central MD. |

Chewy is AWESOME! It's REALLY getting windy here, downpouring here all day too of course. I'm scared to see what tomorrow will bring, considering how bad it is already  Jackson's perfectly content though, he's been laying by the fire. He doesn't have an issue with non-thunderstorms thankfully... thunder is the only thing that bothers him, heavy rain/wind he could care less, lol. I do have to walk him out on the leash though because he won't go into the backyard by himself, lol. He pooped and peed this morning out front. How are your boys? |
Ian eats Chicken a La Veg, and Solid Gold. Has anyone tried this? It's new from Fromm... Weight Management Gold dog food - Fromm Family Foods |

I love the Fromm but both mine get really stinkie breath on their grain free beef! I have tested it by putting them on and off and back on. I'm going to to try the duck. It's not grain free but doesn't have corn. I have one that has a chicken issue so have to watch for that. |

I fed Jackson Fromm for about 6 months, different flavors, and was never happy with his poop on it, he also got a bit chubbier (for him), and his breath was funky. He hasn't been on it in a while. I guess Fromm just doesn't work for us. We've had the best luck by far on Acana Duck & Pear. He ate Acana Grain-Frees for 2 years, then we stopped for a while and started experimenting with others, we always go back to Acana tho. I did buy a bag of the Royal Canin Yorkie formula to use as treats for his treat dispensing toys, etc, but sometimes I'd do half RC and half Acana, and we never had an issue. |
I am feeding Galen Fromm Grain free Salmon Tunalini. He loves it. Gobbles it up. So far so good. He is a little picky bug so I give this two paws up ! |
I got the Pork & Pea. My female was having some shaking issues. She 's not a shaker so got me thinking it might be a tummy issue? I picked up the Duck & Swt Potatoe today. I may try mixing sm amt of the pork later just to see if she starts shaking again. I've never had a problem with Fromm. She has tried the Pork & Applesauce with no problem so may not be pork. She has also had peas in her food before. The shaking did quit. Guess only way I will know for sure is to give her a sm amt again and watch her. We have been using Fromm 3 yrs now. |
Joni's been eating Fromm Chicken a la veg for a while and it's time to reorder. I usually add a pinch of boiled organic chicken to her kibble which she gobbles right down than she will come back later to finish the kibble. Poops seem fine and since she seems to like it ok, I'll probably get another bag (4 lbs lasts a long time). But she does scratch a bit during the day, and I don't know if it's just a normal itch, the kibble, dry skin, or the shampoo/conditioner. Would you change kibble based on this? I like the Fromm's brand. |
We switch between the whitefish and sweet potato, and the pork and applesauce flavors. All three love it and are doing very well on it. |
