Yorkie has scaley skin like infant cradle cap Are there any natural or otc cures? It look like yeast to me |
I have no answer for you but I will bump this for you. |
I would get your pup to the vet... That definitely does not sound like something you should be treating on your own. |
Thanks Buddy and I went to the vet this morning. Vet said it was a bacterial infection precipitated by allergies. |
I hope she gets well soon....just a note...some organic coconut oil applied on the skin might help soothe it. |
cocoanut oil thanks for the suggestion, I have some cocoanut oil on hand. |
Glad you went to the vet, did he have any idea what was causing the allergies, food or environmental allergies? If you have no idea, you might want to consider using a food that is made for those with allergies. I've heard that CO is has antibacterial qualities, let us know if it helps. Did the vet give you any medication? |
vet had no idea allergy cause Vet said he had no idea what caused the allergy but gave Buddy an antibiotic shot because it was a bacterial infection caused by allergies and recommended Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Hydrolized Soy protein food. My instinct is that it is more seasonal allergy or yeast infection as he just treated Buddy's ear for a yeast infection, which cleared up. I havent changed Buddy's food so I dont think that is the problem. |
