Switched Sophia's food! We've constantly been battling Sophia's allergies. The vet keeped upping the dose, but I really didn't feel comfortable doing that & not seeing any results. So I stopped the zyrtec and switched her food. Michelle has Jada on California Natural, so I figured why not give it a shot. We switched from Blue buffalo basics salmon and sweet potato to the California Natural Salmon and Peas (grain free). WOW, I have barely seen her scratch or bite her skin, and we're still not 100% switched over yet!!!!!! :cheer: :happyboun I really hope this food continues to work wonders for our baby girl! |
Yaayyy!! That's awesome, Sarah! :) I hope Sophia continues to do really well on it! We are still going through hell with Luma's allergies...her hair on her ears is falling out now...:( I was brushing her and lightly went over her ears with the bristle brush and a TON of hair came out. Theyre almost bald..we're getting a new food in any day now so I hope it helps...but I'm so happy Sophia is biting and scratching less. And no more icky medicine, yay! Give her a hug from us! |
I am having the same issue just switched from BB to HILLS ULTRA ALLERGAN about 2 weeks ago,vet said it would take about 6. weeks to see if this work I am taking her to the University of Illinois on Tuesday to see a dermatologist. I will update after we have been there and get their advise |
I am glad the food change is agreeing with Sophia!! It is so hard to find a food for these allergy kids....I know it took me almost 2 years to find one that works and that they would eat. I also hated giving Jada hydroxyzine almost daily. |
This is great news! Isn't it great to find a food that they flourish on? :D |

Yay! I'm so happy for you and Sophia! Now maybe her hair will grow in... when you asked me about it, I didn't realize she had allergies! |
