I am looking into possible natural alternative to chemical heartworm preventative ! ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS PRODUCT ?? Natural Heartworm Preventative Treatment Helps Prevent Canine Heartworm |
This is my opinin only. But I would never trust a Natural HW Preventive. HW is one thing you never want your dog to get. The treatment for it can be very dangerous. As much as I hate to give them the Preventive, I know it best for them. |

Heartworm is far to important and serious to mess with and not use a vet prescribed preventative in my opinion. The treatment for heartworm can kill a dog. |
I wouldnt take the risk! It is far bettewr to give a proven heartworm medication, thango "au natural" and have your baby then come down with heartworms and have to go thru the treatment for them! I HATE all the chemicals too, so I give Milk Thistle(glycerine based is for dogs) to help them detox their livers.... |

Oh, man, unless I had reams of empirical data of years of success that proved this worked to keep heartworms out of dogs, I would steer clear of it myself. Unless you have seen a dog trying to live through heartworm treatment and seen what they and the owner goes through, I would think twice about taking the chance. It is a ghastly disease process and what it does to the dog B4 the unthinkable treatment even starts is just awful! |

I agree. I am all for natural when you can... but heartworms, I don't mess with. |
Thanks, i am going to stick with the regular heartgard only give them dewormer for internal parasites if tested for it.... |
