yes, sometimes diet does make a difference. i have noticed with my own dogs that a high quality grain free diet and spring water has reduced the eye problems dramatically. sometimes allergies will also be a problem . i give my dogs coconut oil everyday in their food. it seems to help with the allergies.. of course all dogs are different |
Teething puppies have eye boogers! |
grain free diet is the first step to cutting down on the boogies as well as the itchies. I've heard that filtered water with a few drops of apple cider vinegar also helps. |
What are pedigree "chum" biscuits? And what kind of meat are you giving? Make sure if it's people food, that it's plain boiled with no seasoning or oil, if chicken no skin. Please don't give processed meats such as hot dog, bologna, etc too much salt and nitrates. Oh and under any circumstances, no cooked bones! they will shatter and splinter and can cause internal damage. |
It's a puppy food brand here in the uk and the meat is puppy food |

Pedigree Chum really isn't the best food....it's all a bit 'animal derivatives'....:sickie:....there are better one's on the UK market. I wonder if you've tried Lily's Kitchen? (organic/holistic/fit for human consumption!!!! :D). Burns, James Wellbeloved etc are also good. As for the boogers, I 'get them when they're soft'!!!! So much easier than pulling on those hurty little hairs around their eyes! :) Sally + Harry :aimeeyork x |
