I could use some advice please .. I FEED MY 3 DOGS & 2 CATS BLUE BUFFALO WILDERNESS. I FOUND THIS ARTICLE ON FB WITH A LIST OF REVIEWS BEING ALL NEGATIVE. MY PETS SEEM TO BE DOING WELL ON BB BUT I AM WORRIED IF I AM DOING THE RIGHT THING BY KEEPING THEM ON IT. IT SEEMS NO MATTER WHAT FOOD I CHOOSE THERE IS SOMETHING NEGATIVE ABOUT IT. ANY OPINIONS ? 116 Complaints and Reviews about Blue Buffalo Pet Foods |
Hey how are you , i myself fed up of all the crap on dog food i truly believe we feed them what they like and do well on i too going crazy which food to feed etc........ i remember when i got my first dog 14 years ago there was not much to choose from ? and he did fine .... look at me now with Becky i was feeding her california natural and went to doganalisys .com and it wa downgraded to a 3 star food ..... so i startted to research and still do not know what to buy ????? |
i know it is so confusing. sometimes i just dont know what is right |
I think as long as your babies are doing well on it than why change? There is always going to be something with dog food- you simply cant change every time something comes up- If you are happy with the food and your crew is happy then I would just leave it- Do what YOU feel is right and not what everyone else feels! |

From what I understand, BB is a very good food! I wouldn't trust a bunch of non-experts on facebook, it seems that one person says something and then everyone else is "me too" |
The majority of people only complain and right reviews when there is a problem so the thousands who have there dogs on that food and it worked great for them don't right reviews. There is nothing wrong with BB its a good food and if your dogs are doing well on it even better. |
THANK YOU LADIES , I FEEL MUCH BETTER NOW... :yorkietal |
Also you know what stress I have had with food!! I listened to myself and I listened to my DH on what food we were going to try on Peanut after the whole Acana drama and you know what I am glad I did because the Brothers Food is doing wonders with Peanut!! His itches are clearing up, his skin is looking a lot better, as well as his coat, his breath is smelling better too!! He loves the food, he isn’t being anorexic anymore, he eats 1/3 of a cup a day!! I am glad I tried it, I am pretty sure we will be on this food for a while!! Also I keep doing research on the food and I haven’t found a bad thing about the company or food!! I even talked to a lady that has had her dogs on it for 2 years and she said her dogs are doing great on it!! So listen to your heart and listen to your pups… “ If it aint broke don’t fix it”!! |

I have had dogs all my life, and they were all fed Purina Dog Chow....back in early 50's onward!! They never had "dentals" and they never had bald patches or itching from allergies to "grains"....Then I grew up and in the interim, seems dog food became a huge money making industry for a whole lot of people.....and now, we have thousands of brands, some with and some without specific ingredients....and all our dogs have rotten teeth and liver disease and pancreatitis, diabetes, kidney disease, and allergies and bald spots, etc......sometimes I am almost convenced all this is way over played.....fortunately, I have been able to stick to my brand of choice, Royal Canin, for over 25 years, without a single dog having issues from it. I think if I had to try and switch, try and switch, try and switch dog food, I would be crazy and I would just go back to good old reliable Dog Chow and Milk Bones for treats! I can remember as a kid, laying out in the yard, with my dog, both of us eating on Milk Bone Bisquits....God, I dont even LOOK at what those Milk Bones are made from....but cant be tooooo bad, they didnt kill my dog or me!!! |

Feed what works for your pups. And in the case of a healthy dog, there are so many options so decisions about trustworthiness of companies should be a part of the equation. Awhile back there was some concern about BB hurting kidneys. It seemed to float around for awhile after the recall. And I'm not sure that those reports have stopped. This makes me pause and watch ti make sure everything has cleared up (it may have). Aside from that, to my knowledge rhey do nit do feeding trials, do not have a veterinary nutritionist on staff, etc. So for me personality I would not feed it. |

I understand your pain. I have been there myself so many times. That's why I do home cooking for my girls. I do leave dry down for them as snacks. And I do use BB. Mine have not had any problems on it. With that said, the nutritionist who did my home cooking recipes still recommends the good old controversial Science Diet because of their quality control. But I don't want to start that debate again. I keep telling myself I need to just home cook 100% of the time and not worry about dog food. Have you talked to your vet to she hs recommendation? Or see if he has heard anything on BB? |
