Laparoscopy spay Hello all I haven't been around for a good few weeks now. Lots Of stuff going on including Molly and Lily's spay. I opted for the laparoscopy spay. They were done Tuesday of last week. I would highly recommend it for anyone considering this type of spay. Within an hour of coming out Lily was running around playing ball with our Staffordshire like nothing had happened. The area where the procedure was done was like a small scratch about the size of the end of a biro pen. No stiches and no precautions she was back to her normal eating and exercise that day. Molly took longer, not from the spay but due to trauma of being left at the vet we think it was due to her recent dog attack. She was nervous and jumpy when she came home wouldn't come out of her crate until she checked the area was clear. It was pitiful to watch her. She is back to her old self now thank god. Neither of the girls have scaring. |
do all the vets do that? I would like that better than have stitches to deal with and her pulling them out......or is this a new procedure or do you have to request it... |
wow! never heard of that on a dog! however....it is still the same surgery on the INside...your vet didn't tell you to keep her quiet? I had Bentley done in June..a neuter is less invasive than a spay, and my vet told me to keep him quiet for a week to 10 days! HA! like that was going to happen...I did my best but, he is a wild man... |
Interesting on the surgery. I feel so sad for her shes still so frightened after the dog attack but Im glad shes okay now |
