Puppy Apartment Hello Everyone Do anyone of you have this so called Puppy Apartment Modern Puppies - Potty Training a Puppy I have a 13 week old baby, he is not housebroken yet. I am surrounded with lots of big dogs and when we went out today i noticed that two of the dogs know how to climb the fence.. so i am afraid to take him out. if anyone of you have this crate do let me know if it is a wise investment Thank you |
I have one,....but Emy never went potty in the bathroom, she would tear up her peepads, so I just put her bed in the bedroom part, and I leave the tray bare in the bathroom part with her little blankie, and she sleeps on both parts, during the night, (we have it right next our bed) she is constantly moving from her bedroom to her other section to stretch out. She really loves it, but for a potty, it didn't work for me cause she sleeps in the bathroom part. I have the small, and its like a two room apartment for my Emy. I didn't want her chewing up her peepads and swallowing them, she is quite a chewer, thats why I took it out of the bathroom part. I did get the playpen and an extra small apartment, I put it in our entryway, and I took the door off the apartment, so when I need to confine her she can go in and out of the apartment, I have her water and a peepad in the playpen also with toys (the playpen is quite large and it hooks to the crate) The one in the entryway is only for naps during the day or when I have to work in my office which is right next to the entryway, she can see me. Maybe if you didn't have a chewer like mine it might work great, but the crate is definately well-made, and Emy likes the divider with her little bed in her she can cozy in. |

Thank you very much for your help, i thought it was kindda pricey too, specially right now when i have lost my job. But my lil one is learning to use my spare shower as his potty place... and i tried to put him in crate at night but he kept on crying all night long so i gave in one night and let him sleep with me and i heard him get up and go to the shower and potty by himself and he came right to bed.. so now he is free to roam in my kitchen an bedroom, but other rooms and area's are still restricted for him.. But i really appreciate your feedback. |
No problem! It'll get better-Fancy cried at night for a short time, too. Now she doesn't make a peep until she's ready to go outside in the morning. They're a lot more fun when you can let them run around ;) Good luck to you and your baby! |
Thank you |
We have one as well and it worked wonders for us. KS uses hers everyday. She no longer sleeps in there. She sleeps with me. We have been pleased with our purchase. We don't use their potty pads anymore though. We use wee wee brand pads at tractor supply. :) |
I have been looking into this system also and wondered if it really works. Southernbelle04, how long did you use their pads, before you switched to another brand? |
I bought one box of pads from them with the system. I think I got the 100 count box. They were great pads but once I figured in the cost of them and the shipping, it was easier for me to buy them locally. I get a 100 pack of the wee wee brand pads at tractor supply for $20. And they have a customer incentive program called club wee wee. You buy 10 packages of their pads, any size, and you will get a coupon for $10 off. The ones I buy are like 2 inches too long on one side so I just fold them under and they work fine. It takes our KS atleast a month and a half to go through the 100 pads, if not longer. We just took her bed and partition out of the apartment since she no longer uses it for sleeping. When she's not sleeping with me, she sleeps in her big girl bed set up next to the apartment. We got her at 13 weeks old. I would say she was 95% accident free within the first week. She caught on very quickly. Now we've had her almost a year and she almost never has potty accidents. We fold up her ptpa when we go on trips and it is easy to pop right back up in hotel rooms or while visiting family. It is a little on the heavy side but the hubby usually carries it for me. |
