Hills perscription Has anyone had experience with the new hills prescription ID low fat dry food? My vet has recommended it for my 11year old guy who has pancreatitis. Just wondering if anyone has real life experience with it? Thanks |
My Tink is on L/D for her liver problem. She eats the dry and the canned foods. I have a lot of faith in Hill's Prescription foods. Some dogs either don't care for them or some can't eat them, but most do well on them that I've heard of. |
Rosie was on both the I/D can and dry food. She dd fine on it and seemed to really like it. I would not hesitate to put her back on it if needed. |
My dog has pancreatitis and he is almost 12. For the past two years, we've had him on a home cooked diet and we use Royal Canin Gastrointestinal LowFat dry kibble as well. I really like the RC Gastro formula and Barney likes it too :) |
Tibbe was on Royal Canine GI but itched a lot so the vet switched him to Hill's GI I/D, not low fat, and he's done so well on it with no itching. |
My Senior Maine Coon Cat, Phebe, is on Science Diet thyroid. Two of my dogs get SD "fat kid food", RD. My Senior Chihuahua gets SD Joint Diet. I hate feeding them this stuff that is more filler than anything else. The other 3 dogs get premium top of the line food but they don't have health issues nor are they over weight. But the Science Diet seems to be helping all of them. Louise :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa |
