I hope this doesn't sound dumb but its the honest kitchen raw food?

Yep! It's considered raw...I'm a little confused though about what constitutes being "raw" since they still use steam and heat to evaporate the moisture.

I really want to like THK. I love the company. But the food is so weird. I got a sample of it once and Jackson looked at it like... ew.

Wow. That looks like it's already been, um, digested.

I was considering getting a few samples for Toki just to keep on hand but I'm still unsure...I'm sure it is tastier and more appealing to dogs than what it looks like to me haha

Did Jackson eat it at all?

I got some samples at a local pet store and Lexi and I thought the same thing. I think it must be good for them, but Lexi wasn't going anywhere close to it and certainly wasn't going to eat it. Maybe we just didn't understand the concept?:confused:

the honest kitchen is awesome food.
i fed it to my dogs before and they love it.
it is like a stew.
it is warm when you feed and the they loved that.
it is a dehydrated raw all natural diet.
they have with grain and grain free varietys

love , zeal , force , embark are all grain freee. Plus there is preference which you add your own meat.

Zeal is the favorite.

I only fed it for a short time. For 3 dogs , one of which is 85 lbs is was costing me $150.00 every 2 weeks. Just couldn't swing it.
For one or two small dogs it would be affordable though

Everytime I go to the pet store, i always look at THK and the price always gets me! I'm so tempted to get a taster kit since they have the 20% off through July. But at that price I think I'd even get a couple of the full-sizes to have on hand. I just don't want Toki to be like what the heck is this hahaha. But I'm sure if it is stinky, she'll love it.

I'm still trying out different types of raw to figure out which one she likes best. I think she likes the freeze dried a lot more since I hydrate it with warm water and it is more aromatic so maybe she'll enjoy the dehydrated raw as well.

well my dogs are not picky , they will eat anything and ask question later. Lol !
If toki is not picky she will most likely like it.
The zeal is fish so she may like that one if she likes fish.

My Lola and a foster ate it, but didn't love it (Force). Lucy wouldn't touch it. They sure have lots of poo when they eat it though.
