Can Buddy have human food? Hi everyone, Unfortunatly i have to go on a holiday next week and leave my 3month old baby at home. My mam, dad, sister and brother have promised to take good care of Buddy. The last time we visited them my mam was eager to give him a little piece of chicken....But i stopped her. Are they allowed have "human food" or should he stick to his dog food. Thanks in advance xxx  |
Think of healthy human food, and remember that even a little fat can make them sick. So no chicken skin, but a little white meat won't hurt. I try to keep my meat servings to about a tablespoon for my 5 pound dogs, and less if the beef may have fat I can't see. I'd skip breads and crackers, they don't add enough nutrition, but most yorkies love vegetables, especially thawed frozen veggies because they don't contain salt, and they are already slightly cooked, so they are easier to digest. I also give my two a little egg once in a while, they love it cooked any way, and I give them about a tablespoon. It’s good to give a very small amount the first time, just to make sure there is no reaction and only one new food at a time. Healthy people food in moderation. |
Mine love chicken and sweet potatoes. Rosie loves green beans but Mikki hates them. We have also given carrots. When I question what to give I ask Sugarmamma. Where are you Lisa? Haha. :). |
