OK...now I'm nervous! I'm a new Mom to a 17 week old yorkie and her breeder started her on Purina Puppy Morsels so that's what I've been giving her. If this is not good for her what brand do you recommend I get her and how do I wean her off the old and start something new? I'm not a fan of the kitchen so making it myself is not an option. :-/ Any advice appreciated! | Quote:

A lot use Fromm. Which I am not able to get locally. I have used Blue Buffalo. The turkey one or sensitive tummies and Mikki likes it. Some say it causes some problems but we have had good luck with it. I also home cook but since that isn't an option maybe some others can give you some ideas. :) |
I do both. I am now using Fromm and am very happy with it . I will not feed anything produced by diamond. We have a petsbest..they are great !
Home cooking for one little one is not as bad as you think. I get a bag of chicken breast from Costco, a bag of frozen green beans and a bag of rice.. I do run the chicken and vegetable through a food processor. I use balance it supplements..and follow the recommended recipe from that web site. I make a month at a time and freeze in containers that serve a couple of days. When traveling I have used canned chicken..or even have stirred veggies into kibble.
If you really can't cook just read labels..I looked for human grade food. Hope that help |
