No salt/pepper, no yolk...too high in fat. Just plain white, they love it! Eggs are a very easily digestible protein.:thumbup: |

Our dogs love eggs, scrambled and/or boiled!! We cannot even say the word "egg" anymore without them running to the kitchen. |
Eggs I read that you could feed your dog a egg a day.. Molly like a small amount of bacon bits mixed in her scrambled egg. |
I make boiled or scrambled eggs for my "pack" from time to time. If I know I am giving some to the pups I don't salt while cooking and just add salt at the table. They love them!! |
My sister scrambles eggs 3 or 4 times a week for her Wauzer and has for 4 years. Her vet said it was okay as long as she uses whatever oil she cooks with and she doesn't season the eggs. |

What about a boiled eggs for them and cut it up? Has anyone tried that? I just cut my Keyra's hair yesterday and has to shave cuz the previous owner didn't take care of it so was matted a lot. I want it to grow back nicely and shiny and fast and I heard about eggs but I'm not sure. I read here scrambled with nothing what about boiled also? Keyra's hair is all gone from everywhere it was that bad. Even her face is short as well now. Also what other simple food suggestions does anyone else have for their coats that won't upset or harm them? Thanks :) |
I've done poached, scrambled, and boiled for Jaeger (usually less than once a week.) He goes crazy for them, no matter how I cook them. Edited to mention sometimes I make egg "muffins" for breakfast for the people in the house-cheese, egg, veggies, some meat baked in mini muffin tins. When I do this, I make sure I make a few veggie and egg only ones for the pup |
I add a little salt an pepe DEFINITELY NO SALT OR PEPPER! My girl has sneezing fits if any pepper gets near her! Also, I agree with the WHITES-ONLY stance (no racism here!); no yolks. My Graysee LOVES the whites of hard-boiled eggs! |
Keep in mind, by not feeding the egg yolk you are losing out on both B12 and Omega 3's. I feed locally farmed eggs from pastured chickens at least 4 times per week. |
I will try eggs and see how she likes it. Even with the yolks because maybe she might like it but I won't give her too often. Thanks :) Also one more thing... How about fruits? What fruits are safe or unsafe. I have given Keyra watermelon a couple times on hot days and she loves it but I don't know about others. Also with vegetables. Keyra loves carrots but what else is good for them and even what's unsafe? Thanks :) |
How about fruits? You can look up the harmful foods here, or on your own. But as far as fruit is concerned, Graysee loves watermelon, honeydew, oranges, apples, blueberries, raspberries, and sometimes, strawberries. I've read where cherries are not good for them, and raisins and grapes are out, too. As are avocados, onions, garlic and tomatoes. And be sure to avoid ANY fruit pits, such as from apricots, cherries, peaches, plums, etc. :animal36 |

These babies are so little and you can imagine how tiny their little arteries are. You sure don't want to feed them anything with a lot of fat. Eggs once in awhile would probably be fine but lunch meat is so fat and sodium out the gazoo. I never feed mine any kind of lunch meat. Hardly ever any cheese. I do mix no fat cottage cheese in their kibble sometimes. Just really watch the fat and no salt. |
