Dog Food Analysis & My Experience Has anyone seen this site before? It is a website that rates dog foods based solely on their ingredients. Dog Food Reviews - 6 Star Premium Dry Food - Powered by ReviewPost I found it a while back and it's been a great resource. I used to feed Baxter foods with corn and by-products as the top ingredients, but since I've switched to better quality meat based foods, Baxter has been a different dog! His coat is super shiny too. Right now I'm feeding him Orjien Six Fish in the morning and one patty of Vital Essentials Raw at night. I really love Orijen, but my boyfriend's labrador never quite adjusted her poopies while on Orijen. She ate it for a good month or two before he gave up. I wanted him to like Orijen as much as I do. He switched to Fromm and that worked a little better. Then he tried Acana and now he is hooked. I used to free feed Baxter when I was giving him a generic brand dog food. He would barely eat and only after he was really hungry. I just thought he didn't eat a lot. But now he wakes me up promptly at 6:30am every single darn morning for breakfast. He groans and mumbles at me until I get up and feed him. Right now he eats Orijen Six Fish for breakfast and a patty of Vital Essentials Raw for dinner. I feel pretty happy with alternating both raw and a high quality dry dog food. I always switch the protein sources frequently. Other than Baxter's recent issue with his paw, he is in perfect health. His coat is shinier than ever, his teeth look great, and he has spectacular muscle tone. I hope that resource is helpful! I'd like to hear other's experiences switching from corn based food to meat based diets. |
Yes, that is a pretty good site, except for the Wellness and TOTW listed on it.:D The oldies on here have been through the dog food analysis sites repeatedly. What it really comes down to is if your dog will eat it and thrive on it.:) |
