I know there is a sticky with foods they cannot eat, but I thought it would be helpful to share what they can eat.

I know it would help me (which usually means it would help someone else too!).

Thanks I will take a look. I guess I meant just snackwise, from my plate etc. What can they have just on the go?

I have seen some people on here feed pumpkin, green beans etc.

Yours should only be eating chicken and rice till the diarrhea is gone for a few or more days!

There's alot they can have for a treat/snack. I'll get hearts and tongue from the butcher and boil it, then cut into small pieces and it makes great treats! Sometimes I'll even use my dehydrated and make jerky. The dogs live for it! Pumpkin and Green Beans are great sources of filler for dogs that are always starved without many calories - I use them when I have a dog I need to get weight off of so I can reduce food without them feeling as hungry. Mine also all love Banana chips, or other dehydrated fruit as treats

I just started feeding Sheldon green beans, he loves them! I give them to him because he is always hungry and was filling out very quickly. Yesterday he had some in his bowl mixed in with 4 or 5 kibbles he left from the AM feeding, well what do you know, the little stinker didn't finish his dinner, I was shocked! he always finishes and asks for more.

Do you think is okay to do this? I am new at this, I am taking it slow but I am getting there.

Absolutely - If he's not overweight I'd cut down on how much green bean you use, it's great because it fills them up without adding many calories, but if your dog doesn't need to loose weight you don't want them not eating all their real food. 4-5 kibbles I wouldn't worry about though - Just means he felt satisfied and got what he felt he needed from the meal!

Thank you so much.
He is on the heavier side, he just turned 5 months on the 21st and I weighed him today and he was 5.8 lbs.
I gave him 1/4 of cup of kibble with chopped green beans for breakfast and dinner today and he was satisfied. If I didn't add the green beans he would be eating more like 2/3 cup. I think 1/2 a cup is hat he should be eating since he is so chubby.
