My dogs ear went floppy? My dog's ears were standing straight up, but yesterday one went floppy? Does this mean anything, should i do anything to help it go back up? I have had him 2 weeks since i got him from the breeder, i dont have the papers in front of me but i would assume he is about 9 or 10 weeks old.. |
He may be teething this will cause them to droop |
should i tape them? My mom is taping her dogs ears, or should i just give it time and see if they go up on there own. He could be teething he naws on my fingers and toys all the time. |
Keeping the air trimmed off his ears will help a lot to, sometimes if the hair is thick it pulls them down.. |
I wouldn't worry too much about his ears right now. He is very very young. How is he doing otherwise? Welcome to YT, BTW. You will learn a lot if you chose to stick around! |
I'm sure it's just that he's teething. They do tend to flop down during the teething stage. I wouldn't worry about it right now. Maybe if they are still down by the time he's three months old, you could shave front and back of the ears and tape them. If you don't know how to tape them to make them stand "together" then let me know. Just don't rub or play with his ears now. |
He is doing very well, he loves us to death! Follows us everywhere and if we get on a bed or couch he cries till we pick him up. Loves all the toys we have gotten him and pet bed as well, however he sleeps with us. This morning out of the blue he did throw up, but havent had a problem out of him all day after that.. so not sure what that was about |
