FDA continues testing of jerky treats due to consumer complaints. Not sure why these new areas of testing have not been done already though. It seems odd to me. :confused:

(I love the 1 person's comment about the Pet store staff member that said only dogs feed only the jerky treats have died :mad: Zoey was never feed more than 1/ day and she was killed by these treats :mad:)

The crusade to prevent others pets from being killed by these treats continues.

While they are at it they need to test Hartz products too dogs and cats have died because of their products yet they are still on the shelves thats why I dont give much merit to fda testing. If the govt gave one hoot about dog food or products we wouldnt have all the recalls

Just saw a "Milo's Kitchen" commercial on TV- "The best treats come from the kitchen". They are showing and feeding the jerky treats. I hate commercial. :mad::mad:

I get Thixton's emails.I try to feed the "Z"s as well as possible but it is getting harder and harder w/o home cooking.

Sad that your Zoey died from those awful treats.

I thought I was feeding her something good because it was chicken breast & sweet potatoes without artificial flavor or preservatives.

"When you know better you do better"- I know better now. Mine will be getting homemade sweet pototoe and chicken wraps- I finally got a dehydrator. I will never buy another Purina product. I will keep telling Zoey's story and trying to protect other pets from the same fate she suffered.

I love how your whole crew is Z names but don't they get confused or don't you call the wrong names?

Why isn't the FDA doing more!? :(

They all answer to their own names. Zipp, the oldest (17), sometimes forgets. DW said I could not get the "Z" name with a "U" :D.

My vet actually has spoken with the FDA several times himself in addition to my daily phone calls to them. According to my vet there are less than 30 people who are responsible for pets compared to hundreds for people. Pets are property to them an nothing more- IMO

I did sign up. I also added Zoey to the Vindication part both when sick and when she passed. Zoey will never be forgotten. She passed the same day a lawsuit was filed against Waggin Train. This was her message to me I am sure. She passed so others could live

FDA and the the company's who make these treats are really ticking me off. I am speak to everyone one I can about these products. My mom was feeding her dogs a Purina brand food and as soon as I told her they owned waggin train she wanted me to go to the store with her and help her pick a different food and she threw away what she had left of the other. I feel so terrible for for all the people who have lost there dog who are a part of the family and barley anything is happening to stop this.

thanks for posting updates, please continue to send them when you can. i am hand writing letters to various stores and their corporate offices with the fda warnings and trying to do my part to stop these people! i have also warned members of the yahoo cushing's site i am a member of to try to spread the word. several members there have also agreed to send in letters. the other day in walmart, i convinced a lady not to buy waggin' train jerky and she was carefully reading package labels on different treats after our discussion. i pointed out made in china in tiny letters on the back and gave her a copy of an fda warning. i started carrying them with me everywhere and handing them out. i don't really care if i look crazy doing it either!!! i'm on a mission. my step sister's 2 brittany spaniels passed within 2 weeks of each other a couple years ago from waggin train treats and she is fighting too. her dogs only had 2 treats each over a 2 week period. there is no safe amount of this poison as these companies claim. i am so so sorry about your sweet zoey. i have a zowi too and it just breaks my heart. keep spreading the word it truly does work. small steps, but steps in the right direction! we will always remember your sweet girl and her brave fight.

That is sad. I know that some people feel that way but not most of us. These are our furchildren. :( Is there an email address to send a letter or a phone number?

Please give your mom a giant hug for me, Zoey, and all my fur babies. I am touched that she cared so much about not feeding any product made by this company. If only more people were like her it might make a difference. :aimeeyork

Thank you so much for your diligence and fighting for those who don't have a voice for themselves. You are not the only crazy lady who carries around flyers to hand out.
