healthy weight Khloe is my first yorkie so I am counting on my friends here when I have some questions and concerns. Khloe will be 16 weeks old on Sunday. She weighs 3 pounds. Is this concerned a healthy weight for her age? |

Yorkies come in all shapes , sizes and weights. It would be best to ask your vet this question..... |
You take the 12 week weight and count it twice and that gives you the adult weight. So I think she will e around 6 pounds as adult which is a healthy yorkie weight. I also think it is a good size for a yorkie too |
Please excuse the mispellings in my previous post. Thanks I just want her to be a good and healthy weight. She didn't seem to want to eat a lot the first two days but she increased eating today. I am transitioning her food and that is working. I guess she was just nervous about her new environment. |

It is hard to say if 3 lbs is a healthy weight for her @ 16 wks cause all yorkies are different. Another yorkie of the same age could weigh 6 pounds and be perfectly healthy as well . Any time you have a concern about her weight speak to your vet and they will be able tell you . As long as she is eating good and she is active and happy i think you are doing a good job.... |
I think Sheldon was 3.5 lbs at 15 weeks. He is almost 20 weeks and he weighs 4.6, I call him my little meatball. Try to feel her ribs, my vet said if you have to dig in too much to feel them that means she might be eating more than she needs. |
