Acana Small Breed Anybody feeding their pups this? What's the size of the kibble? I used to feed mine Grasslands & the kibble was too big for them, I had to break it up. It was esp hard for Momo to chew the hard dense kibble bc he has really tiny teeth. If the kibble size is smaller in the Small Breed, wanna try it out...Thank You! |

IF YOU GO TO THE WEBSITE , CHECK OUT EACH INDIVDUAL FOOD AND YOU WILL SEE THAT ALL THE KIBBLE ARE BASICALLY THE SAME SIZE AND SHAPE.. I DON'T THINK THEY HAVE ONE SPECIFICALLY FOR SMALL BREED THOUGH... AT LEAST I DID NOT SEE IT ON THE WEBSITE. THIS IS THE WEBSITE : Dog Food and Storage | PetSolutions if you want a really tiny kibble , check out this food: Now Fresh Grain Free, Small Breed. it is tiny clover shaped kibble. excellent quality food. i was feeding it to my boy but it is too small for him now. so i feed him Natural Choice Small Breed.. http://www.doggiefood.com/petcurean-...all-breed.html |
I used to feed Acana but it started putting weight on Riley.... and he wasn't even eating all that much... I have tried NOW! but he would not even look at it..... Had to give the whole bag to my sister...... I then switched him to Taste of the Wild but was having to put a Teaspoon of Weruva canned chicken in it.... I this week to FROMM... Pork & Applesauce and I have a back of the FROMM Chicken A La Veg. The kibble size is nice.... and he is eating it all up with nothing added to it. I am Loving it for him!! |
Acana Small Breed is not available in the US as far as my knowledge goes. The only ones available in the US are the grain-frees and the Chicken & Burbank Potato, Lamb & Apple and Duck & Pear. Which ARE a *bit* smaller than the grain-free kibbles. But not by a whole lot. |
if you do happen to find a bag of the Acana. i can say that it IS smaller for sure (in Canada). the FROMM Surf and Turf has the smallest kibble i have seen. it's just as small, if not smaller then the acana. it's smaller then a pencil earaser. |
just checked on that FROMM kibble size when i went home at lunch. it's actually closer to the size of a popcorn kernel. the kibble is just a little bit thicker...but barely. my 10lber won't even chew it it's so tiny. i just use it in his treat ball from time to time. |
