Reverse sneezing Charlie has been reverse sneezing a lot lately. He use to do it when he would drink water sometimes but lately its a lot all of a sudden. I did watch videos of the difference in reverse sneezing and collapsed trachea and it does seem like a reverse sneeze more than the other. Its trough his nose. Could he have a cold causing this?? I am going to take him to the vet today because I hate hearing it. It stresses me out. :( |
It might be allergies. What works the best when Bogey has an episode it blowing into his nose. I'll pick him up and try to calm him while blowing toward his face. Works like a charm. But I how that it's the spring allergies causing him to do this. It looks so much worse than it really is when they are making that horrible noise. I've given Benadryl per the vets suggestion and this has helped to calm things down as well. |

Peanut does it more in Spring/ Summer.. He does it when he drinks water and when he gets too excited!! I will always go to him and rub his throat up and down, and that will calm him down.. Hope everything goes OK at the vet!! |
Nose blowing it is. He's sleeping like a baby right now. When he does it again I'll give it a try. |

You can do both the neck rub and nose blow together. Put your face about 3-4" away and blow. If you do it right you should actually hear the blow. |

I'm sorry. I missed your post. That's what I've been doing, is rubbing his throat. It does help. The fact he's been doing it so much lately worries me, but it looks like it's something that happens so that is good. I will let you know what the vet says. :) |
Work is dead today and they're giving away voluntary time off. Perfect. I can go and take him to the vet. :) His nose is more wet than normal and he doesn't seem as lively as normal. I'm thinking he may have possible caught a bug. |
Oh good! Keep us posted hope he feels better soon:) |
Omg my poor baby has Tracheobronchitis. After doing research aka kennel cough!! Wth? He stays home all the time. He must have got it from sitting in the vets office all day when he got neutered. Good news is he's on medicine now. I am so glad I decided to take him! I had no idea. :( That's crazy. |

I walked out of the vet wanting a cigarette sooooooo bad! lol But i didn't. yay:D I guess it's as contagious as a cold is to us. The vet said it sounds worse than it actually is and he'll be fine. It just surprised me. |
I'm really pi***d he got this from the vets office. He's been vaccinated for this too. Is it worth complaining about to the vet or is it just one of those things that happen? |
