Bella is eating her poop again! Hi! I am so confused with Bella's behavior . she is one year old and fully trained and in the past two weeks she started pooping in the house when I leave, even if its for 10-15 minutes and then eats it! (and she already pooped outside). She knows that she did something wrong because she hides when I come back. I know that she is a "food lover" and I started to think if maybe she does it just for the "food"?!? P.S - I give her enough food as she is not my first and only yorkie. what can it be then? |
A lot of dogs eat their poop - not certain why, but they do. In any event, try feeding her a bit of pineapple - for whatever reason, most dogs will not eat it once it comes out the other end. Note that I said most dogs.... not all dogs stop eating it. Good luck! |

by the way - do you get upset with your dog when she does it? (pooping in the house and eating it) |
I'd refer you to the YT poop guru, megansmomma, but I understand there are some relapses going on in her own household right now so she may not be available. I'll send her to this thread. |

Oh wow! I heard about some dog doing that too. Yes I heard that feeding them pineapple will help. I wonder what causes poop eating? And I call my bichon a billy goat. This is taking it to a entire new level. |

ok, so day 3 (?) now with the pineapple. the first day I gave her that, she didnt like it and left it in her bowl. I think Maya ate her pineapple actually. the second day, she played with it and then ate it and today it took like few minutes. she didnt have any accidents at home so I dont know if it works or not. what I do know is that pineapple for fats eaters dogs who dont like it, is a good way to make them slow down! LOL I tried the gold balls and other toys like people suggested but pineapple is the answer! will keep you posted. |
