Boiled chicken I haves boiled some chicken today for a chicken casserole. Just wondering if it would hurt Milo to have some of the chicken. His food don't have chicken in it so I didn't know if I should let him have it or not. He eats natural balance duck and potato. |

More than 10% of the diet should not include other food, if your dog is on commercial food, otherwise you can unbalance it. But, as a once in a while treat, seems ok to me. Check w/ your vet to be sure. |
50% should be protein 25% organ and 25% veg and botanicals. Your dog will love the boiled chicken. I take the juice leftover and make into ice cubes and Teegy loves them. |
chicken is usually an allergy food, so just watch to see if he starts scratching himself. Usually shows up within 3 days. Save the broth, put in the ref. till the fat comes to the top, then skim off and discard the fat. You can use the broth to cook his rice, carrots & green beans in. I home cook because real food is the healthiest and safest way to feed. ;) |

Georgie has had boiled chicken for 6 years now. While we don't give it to him at every meal he definitely gets it 3-4 times per week. He hasn't had any issues and he loves it. |
