Lacie's Eye Lids Are Pink 1 Attachment(s) Hi All, Lacie's eye lids have been pink for about a week...they aren't itching her, she isn't blinking funny, and she isn't having any sight problems. She is behaving totally normal. I snapped this photo of her... Is this shade of pink normal for a 1.5yr old yorkie? She also has a small dot on both eye lids. Thanks guys! |
Lacie's eyelids are not a normal condition. Looks like she has some hair loss too. I would take her in to see your vet as soon as possible. |
It looks slightly irritated. Could be an allergic reaction or something more serious. I would take her to the vet to have it checked out. |

Thanks guys! We are going to email her vet the pic tomorrow to see what she advises (Lacie's next appt for her booster shots is on March 8th). I'm sure they will tell us to bring her in, but who knows, they might suggest that we wait a bit too since it's not annoying her....really worried :( |
Yes, a vet is needed for this. Could be anything from allergies to Demadex mange. |

It could be many things, including allergies, fleas, or mites. There is a YT member who hasn't posted in a little while, but her dog had eye mites around one eye. There was more swelling, but the eyelid started out looking a little like Lacie's. He first vet missed the diagnosis and an ophthalmologist finally determined the problem. |

I hope you figure it out! So sorry! Taycie has allergies and her eyelids do this exact same thing when something is bothering her. Currently she is on Claratin and Chlorpheniramine and it really has helped her a lot. Allergy season is right around the corner for us. |
I would take her to the vet. |
We scored an appointment for her today at 5:30, and her eyesore way less pink Than yesterday. Will keep you guys posted! |

I hope you were able to figure out what was wrong with Lacie's eyelids. I'm glad you were able to get her in yesterday. |
Hi All, Just wanted to give you an update --- turns out, she's got ALLERGIES! And that's it. All of her other tests came back normal. Hooray, I'm a little relieved....but now I've got to go on the search for allergy remedies. I'd rather not resort to giving her drugs if that's possible, you know? |
Good news! :) Thanks for updating! |
