Nutri-Cal The vet said to only give it for emergency, but I thought its a daily thing for a puppy yorkie. So how often should Joel have it especialy since he wont eat in the morning? Its 1:30pm and he barely eaten anything. So shouldnt he have it every morning? |

I dont think theres a reason they say that, they prolly just dont know. He eats and drinks fine all day just the morning time is the problem, just now he decided hes ready to eat and its after 2pm! He doesnt act lethargic or anything, he wakes up plays some and takes another nap and then eats, but thats why I think I should give him nutrical in the morning for when he eats so late. And all they say aboit him not eating is that he wont starve himself and just bring him in if im worried. But I think hes fine and hes just not a morning eater. |

I should try a walk in the morning, I havn't took him on a actual walk yet, lol. This morning I played and excersised him alot and then put him in a small area with just his food and just kept trying to sleep bit I woll try a walk tomorrow and see if that works. :D |

Nutrical should not be part of a healthy yorkies daily requirement. How much does Joel weigh and how old is he? Do you free-feed? Yorkies being so small don't have big appetites and he may do better with several small meals or allowed to free-feed. Young puppies will nap after playing. As long as your vet thinks he is healthy, he acts healthy, is pooping, peeing, playing and sleeping okay, I wouldn't give Nutrical. |

Hes about 10-11 weeks and weighs 3 pounds. He eats half a cup a day and thats with me trying to get him to eat. Hes healthy but im worried about him not eating for hours in the morning. |

Hmm..only in emergency? I give it to Jack occasionally, like maybe a tad every other day or so....If he doesn't eat as much one day, I'll give him some, but I don't give him a set amount every single day. I thought it was really good for yorkies and small dogs though and it was good to give them, esp as pups? |

Thanks for the advice, I got him up this morning and took him on a walk and about 10 minutes later he pood and about 10 minutes after that he ate! So I was so happy! Now im gonna have to do this every morning, and its freezing in the morning. :( |
