under bite this might not be the appropriate thread to post on but I will see what this gets me.... Dollar has an unerbite. I know what this means...but what does it mean like about the breeder or about him? |

bite A minor under bite in a pet is not that bad a fault. If he was for breeding and showing, it would be a problem. If he still has puppy teeth, it could correct. It is a recessive gene. If the parents had good bites, then the breeder bred with best of intentions to produce pups with good bites. If one of the parents or both had bad bites, then it was not a wise decision. I could mean the breeder knows nothing about the standard and what a correct bite should look like..it could mean they do not care..it could mean they are a novice and had no mentor. Does the breeder know Dollar has a bad bite? If not tell them, then if they repeat the breeding you will know without asking the type breeder they are..if you do not tell them, then they can not "fix" what they do not know is broken...some pups leave with nice bites and at 3 or 4 months or after adult teeth come in the bites go off.. IF the parents have good bites it does nto mean they can not be bred again..but IMO they should not be bred to each other and produce more bad bites. |
