Stella and Chewy feedback please...or any raw food feedback I'm looking for feedback from anyone using this food please. I know almost nothing about feeding raw and not sure I'm up to it. How do you prepare it, how much, how to order, average costs, affects on your dog, etc. Thanks! |
my two get S & C freeze dried raw for breakfast every morning and they absolutely love it. One patty each with some green beans, sprinkle with some coconut chips and breakfast is served LOL. We alternate between the beef and the surf n turf. S & C does a frozen raw in the same flavors, but the freeze dried is easier for us. for the rest of their day I free feed TOTW kibble. |
sorry, hit submit to quick. a bag of the patties will last us around 3 weeks and it runs around $30/bag. we get the bigger ones. prep is easy, just crumble it up. you can add some kind of liquid to make it a soft food if you'd like, but mine like it dry. green beans and some coconut chips on top. we buys ours locally at a pet boutique here in town. they have other flavors as well, lamb and duck, can't remember if there are others. |
Well, there's different options when it comes to raw. You could do BARF, PMR or pre-made. BARF is Biologically Appropriate Raw Food or Bones and Raw Food. PMR is Prey Model Raw. Some pre-made options are Primal, Stella & Chewy's, Bravo!, etc. Benefits are usually less poop, solid stools, better teeth and breath, shiny coats, minimal eye goop, and palatability - most dogs love it. |
