Back to Home Cooking and.... Boy was it convenient to scoop out kibble every day :D I am back to roasting chickens and cleaning wet faces. But, I am happy with the cooking and it works best for me and mine. But, I'd use Royal Canin YT formula again in a pinch for Teddy as I was so impressed with the food these last few months. It's nice to know that there is a food that works that I was comfortable with. I won't get rid of it, but I'll keep a little on hand for training and what not. |
I had thought about homecooking as Hot Rod was such a picky eater. But then he was picky about what I cooked too! The little booger. |

Glad you've found something that works for your babies. Royal Canin seems to be working for Gizmo too. It's a wonderful feeling when we find a food that works for our babies. Keep us updated on how the homecooking is doing. If you have an good treat recipies too, let is know!:p |
Cathy, you have been such an inspiration to many of us on the home cooking. :) You are doing what is best for your pups. Rosie loves the homecooking over the kibble. But Mikki won't touch the homecooking much at all. I think some of them just like different things. So much like us humans! Hang in there! They are lucky to have such a wonderful Yorkie momma!! If it makes you feel better I am roasting chickens with you!! |
If any of you "lazy" moms :D would like to feed "real" food then just put some turkey or pot roast in the slow cooker (or ele. pressure cooker) along with some fresh carrots and brown rice, then all you need to do is divide it up and put in freezer bags or the glad plastic containers. Put enough in one bag or container to last about four days. Easy!! |
