Can some babies... ..not be able to *free feed*. Like with Daphne, we've always free-fed her, left her food down and she only eats when she's hungry--unless when we first bought Tay home and she gobbled it all up so that Tay wouldn't get it. lol But anways.. Im not sure if Tay gets the free-feed idea. Somedays she seems to only eat when shes hungry but other days aas soon as I put the food down, she eats it all up, then I fill it back up, she eats it and so on and so on. I'm thinking that maybe doing it this way she is getting to much food.. is that possible? Do they sometimes eat just to eat no matter if they are hungry or not? I don't want to be feeding her *to much* or anything to hurt her in the long run, ya know? |
Hey there. I always feed my 5-month old 1/2 can of wet Cesar's puppy food in the morning and the other 1/2 in the evening. I work during the day so I leave about 1/2-3/4 cup of Kibbles and Bits puppy dry food. He doesn't like that as much, but if he gets hungry, I know it's there. I go home at lunch and usually fill his kong with the peanut butter stuff and then he'll get random treats throughout the day. You may want to try that. He seems to do well with it ;) |
I feed mine Lil caesars in the morning they both get a half of a container. I free feed the hard. I dont know if they are getting too much this way. I just dont like to withold food. |
I have six puppies. We always have free fed them. I keep moist little packets of pedigree in the pantry in case I think one is sick and might not be eating, if they won't eat that I get worried. Bronx just got fixed and was on steriods for an ear infection and put on two pounds. I am pretty worried about that, but I am going to try walking him more to see if we can take it off. Otherwise, I will have to pull their food until he slims up a little. |
