Kanagroo Addiction makes a Kanagroo and Apple dog food that you would probably have to order on-line. It is on the Whole Dog Journal approved dry foods and is rated as a 5* food. A little pricey - $65.00 for a 15lb bag. |

Cathy, I'm sorry to hear that Daisy isn't feeling all that great. :( I suppose either the rabbit or calamari would be a good first step. I'm certain though, if it came down to it that you would feed her kangaroo. Ew. Also note, that the calamari can probably double up as pull toys for the kids. |
My brother loves kangaroo... But wait, we're talking about dogs!:p Cathy, I'm sorry to hear that you're having tummy troubles. I would give rabbit a try though. I've heard it's helped alot of tummy troubles. And I think it was be a little eaier then kangaroo! |
Update I'm happy to report Daisy and I are loving the chick pea diet. Kangaroo? What kangaroo! Seems like we won't be saying "Joey, come to mama" anytime soon:eek: |
Ha ha! You are so funny. I am glad the chick peas is working for Miss Daisy! |

At least chick peas are easier to find and less disturbing to prepare than kangaroo! |
If you ever change your mind, here is a source for kangaroo and rabbit: http://www.omaspride.com/catalog/exo...category_id=10 Good luck with the chick peas. |

I hope your baby feels better soon! Can you believe the list of kangaroo vendors in the US? My niece spent a few months in Australia, and sent me a menu that sold only kangaroo meat..burgers, hotdogs, casseroles, and soup!!!! She's a vegetarian, thank goodness!! |
I am surprised so many sell it!! |
i wonder if my girls would like chic peas.... maybe i will buy some :) |

Chick peas How do you prepare the Chick peas and what do you mix with them? Is this good for alergies. |

She is eating the chick peas because she can't tolerate other proteins. She also has IBD, liver disease, and allergies so this was created for her specifically. I would much rather feed her meat, but she just can't eat it. |
Poor little Daisy. Well, as long as she can tolerate it on her tummy, then chic peas it is! She's a greek food dog!:p |

HAHHAAH! Yes she is doing great on her chick peas. She did well on them for such a long time that we are optimistic. I will be incorporating the rest of the ingredients next week including balancing out the diet and completing her nutrition. Two weeks after that we will draw blood and take urine to see where the little girl stands. So far, the only issue is that she refuses to eat the food off a plate or a bowl. She wants her garbanzos on the tile directly. Who am I to disagree if it's keeping her well  |
Next thing you know is she'll want pita bread and baba ganoush!:p |
I hopee you can find something okay to feed Daisy. I cant believe kangaroos are killed for meat. It is so sad! I quess I am just naive that I couldnt imagine anyone wanting to eat a sweet kangaroo. |

I think kangaroos are usually fairly docile but can DEFINITELY be pretty aggressive, especially the males. Glad you found something that worked for Daisy. :) |
Daisy is doing very wonderfully on her chick pea diet. We will be making a few additions of eggs, and sweet potatoes, and possibly peas to complete her diet and to add variety without setting off her liver or allergies. She has come a long way - off of immunosupporessants for allergies, and restoration of liver function to normal levels, all because of her diet. I'm thrilled that once again I'm leading her down the right road. |
