Seperation Anxiety I was wondering if it is possible that puppies can get seperation anxiety. I am a DJ and also do party buses for a living. A few weekends back I had a gig and was only going to be gone for a few hours. I was a late gig so I put Karley to "bed" a little early and went to my gig. Karley all day was very hyper and playful and didnt settle down for anything. But when I got home that night she did nothing. Layed limp and almost life less. I gave her a little sugar water and also come Nurti-Cal (vitamin supplement) and she perked up and started to act as she was prior to my leaving. So my questions is can puppies get seperation anxiety. Is she making herself sick and this way because I kennel her and leave for a few hours. Is there anything you guys would suggest? Thanks for all the help! |
Maddie, my Yorkie gets a little anxiety with changes. When I started having trouble sleeping at night due to pregnancy, I put Maddie out of our bedroom and in the living room with her sis. She does things like pee or poo in the floor outside the bedroom door or whimper and pace up and down the hallway. I have never experienced her appearing ill or as if she had a drop in blood sugar. That sounds a little scary. If it were me, I might make a trip to the vet if she does this again to ensure there is no problem. |
Wow, if she was laying limp and lifeless I think I would definitely have her checked by my vet. No telling how long she was laying there before you got home. I hope she is okay. |
