Pita has a bobo...what is it? 1 Attachment(s) I gave her a bath last night and as I was blowdrying her hair I saw this. It is raised and rough and looks like a scab. I showed it to my husband and he said that he thinks it's been there a while. Now Pita can be a scratcher and most likely it's from her back claw scratching at her neck but it freaked me out when my hubby said he thought it had been there a while. Please any thoughts would b greatly appreciated....am I overreacting?!?! |
It's hard to say what it is but I would keep an eye on it and if any oozing, puffiness or redness should arise I would get your little one checked. I am sure Pita will be fine. |

Sometimes when their nails are cut by a groomer, they don't take the extra little time to "file" the rough edges and can cause cuts and scratches when they itch, which they sometimes do after a bath if the shampoo strips all the oils and leaves the skin very dry. Check her nails, file them, and if this scratch gets any worse, then have it checked out. In the meantime, put some peroxide then a little bacitracin ointment (sold in any drug store) which will take out any infection that may be in there. Hope this goes away real soon. Keep us updated. |
That you all so much, I will put some ointment on it. I did trim her nails last week, so I will be more careful and check them for sharp edges. Hopefully, the ointment will get rid of it asap. |
