Brushing teeth! Hey everyone! I need some advice. I've been trying to brush my baby's teeth, but even the smallest toothbrush is pretty big for her little mouth & Bella struggles with me the entire time I TRY to brush her teeth, but because of her fighting it I basically can't do it & of course don't want to hurt her trying. Any suggestions or ideas because this isn't working for her nor I. She eats only canned food and I know small dogs who have only canned food you must watch for tarter & cavities or teeth becoming soft. I just don't want her to have that..... Any help or advice would be appreciated!!! :):aimeeyork |
For the hard to reach back teeth, try a little gauze wrapped around your finger. Brushes do work better. Look for a tiny baby toothbrush. I struggle with the back teeth too. |

This is what I use on Jada, her mouth is tiny and this brush works perfectly!!! |
Have you tried the colgate wisps? Just pop off the toothpaste. Someone else on this site had recommended it and I have been using them ever since. |
Good ideas! Teeth cleaning is always a struggle for me, and that tarter builds so fast! |

Gizmo is really good with teeth brushing. But for ease, my husband holds Giz and I lift his gums and brush the teeth. However, I've noticed that the brush we were using is a little rough, and we'll be opting for a toddler brush as soon as I make a trip to the store. |
I use a sonicare on Sugar. She is very very good but I still feel like I get about 7 minutes worth of benefit from the 2 minute Sonicare action! |
