suppliments Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had their babies on any type of supplements for better health in the long run or if not but maybe you suggest something? Both my morkies are only two years old and have had no problems or injuries(knock on wood) but I am always interested in ways to keep them healthy as possible and if there is anything that could help them as they get older I would like to look into it more. I understand some breeds are more common to have problems such as joint or hips. Is there anything that is very common to these guys? Just looking for opinions on what you think would be best. They have both been on hypo-allergenic food for their whole life besides recently where they are on blue due to the fact of me not being able to travel back "home" to where their permanent vet is. I plan on putting them back on their hypo when this bag is finished(with of course slowly changing them over slowly) thanks everyone for your help :) |
If you are feeding a complete and balanced diet there really is no need to supplement. As far has supplementing for Joints, many supplement with Glucosamine Chondrioitin. Some also like to do a probiotic or use yogurt. I have discussed everything with my vet and she told me as long as she is eating a balanced diet she doesn't need anything else. I have tried yogurt in the past but it did nothing but give her an upset stomach.. so I threw that out. For now she just gets her food, and if I decide to add something like Gluosamine It would be because my vet felt she needed it. |
