doggie orthodontist? this may seem a little frivolous, but i'm here to ask about my Clover's teeth. when he went to get neutered i asked my vet about getting the rest of his baby teeth pulled out but she assured me that its ok to leave it. (still had a few premolars and canines on both sides at 6 months) his baby premolars didn't come out till now (10 months) and still has one on his left side left! i don't think it bothers him at all, but his new adult premolar coming through has come through crooked. like, it should lie parallel to his gumline but it lies sideways. he is able to eat fine so i'm not worried but i'm wondering if i should do anything about it or even if anything could be done? thank you in advance. :) |
Buster retained his 2 baby canine teeth and I was advised to have them removed as the would effect his bite. I did not want him to have a crooked bite as I thought it might cause issues later. I was concerned about anesthesia and surgery on such a small mouth so I went to a Orthopedic Vet and had them removed. I am glad I did. I now have his xrays and pictures of his teeth at 1 year for a reference. He went in for his check up as he is 2 years old and he got a gold star! |

I am surprised by the recommendations of your vet. I would look into it sooner rather than later, now days they can do so much and waiting is not a the best thing to do. Blessings. XOXO |
