Losing Hair??? Reyna has been losing a lot of hair lately...She is now about 9 months old. Are they supposed to lose their puppy hair? I'm kinda worried about my poor little girl. :aimeeyork |
1 Attachment(s) I would have to say yorkies are different. Mine are all three different with their hair growth. Lexie has thick greasy hair no matter what I use to wash her. Juliet has thin silky smooth hair and Romeo has short wire hair that tends to break off where his redish color is growing in on his head. In dealing wth him I find a lot of breakage so I am left to asume it is not bad. Especially since many other people have mentioned their dog doing the same. I nototice this more from people who have what they call Red Legged Yorkies ( i think Romeo my puppy fits that category). I would not worry unless your puppy loses a lot of hair without regrowth in the areas. Do you have any photos of your baby? (Another thing about my boy Romeo is that his hair does not grow on his muzzle area. ) I hope this helps...I have attached a pic of Romeo with my bigger girl Lexie. :c) |
Check with your vet...our first Yorkie Roxie(we were her foster home for a bit) lost some hair and the vet said it was stress related....she did settle down and it stoppped...good luck |
if she is losing hair and it is not growing back, you might try a product called Nu-Stock. We just started selling it in our boutique and my boyfriend's cat has a problem with a spot he licked raw and the hair fell off. It's been 3 days and the hair is already growing back. I also had a place where my dog slid and fell at daycare one day and some hair scraped off around the wound. Within a week he was almost back to normal. This stuff is like a freaking miracle worker. lol Bad side isit smells like really really bad vaseline, but the smell is worth it for the outcome! |

It could be allergies. My dog has them and he has lost hair. |
