I dont give them very often but when I do, I stuff them with 0% fat plain greek yogurt and freeze it. |

I've heard you can put just about anything you'd like in there. Peanut butter and yogurt are good options, especially since you can stick them in the freezer to freeze and then they last longer, making your baby have to work harder at it. Personally, I usually cut up some carrots and stick them in Sasha's kong. I have a Kong Ball for her to and it's so funny to watch her push it along the ground with her nose and paw at it trying to get the carrots out. |
ive been using the canned stuffing because its the easiest so i would chop up some treats some fruits and some kibbles and put them in with the stuffing. i have friends who would put veggies and kibbles and peanut butter and yogurt and freeze them (combination of those not all hehe) or even dog biscuits |
My vet suggested Cheez Whiz so I tried that. She loved it but it's a rare thing, as I'm sure it has little nutritional value. I've also sealed off the tip with PB in it with cream cheese, she loves that stuff & then doesn't seem to mind the PB. |
Cream cheese and also yogurt and freeze it is good |

Thank you |
Great ideas everyone, was just standing yesterday morning in the kitchen and plain out brain dead what to stick in there. thank you all |
Yup, I do the frozen yogurt thing. Though Jackson is getting a bit tired of it, I can tell. He does not work as hard anymore for the yogurt to get it out and will often just leave it on the floor, leaving me a mess to clean up. I started putting a big of yogurt in first, then I'll stuff a little piece of string cheese in the middle, then seal it off with yogurt again, stick in the freezer for a few hours and he seems to really love that. But I've put all kinds of different treats in there, etc. |
I use either non fat Greek yogurt or just canned dog food. |
I seal up the ends with plain peanut butter (no salt or sugar) and put organic plain yogurt (low fat I think) in and one of the following organic canned plain pumpkin, gerber chicken baby food, shredded chicken breast, ground beef, ground turkey breast, or a little canned food. Then I freeze them. They love the meats in it, not really into it if it's JUST yogurt ;) |
We use the KONG canned stuffing and freeze it. They love it. I think I will try to mix some kibbles in there as well now!! There's always great ideas out there! ;) I really want to try greek yogurt too now...hehe |
