Can Yorkies get acid reflux?
 
Gizmo has been doing this weird, almost gag..but not thing every since the whole chocolate incident last week. Had heard someone given their baby pepto tablet chewables. He weighs 11 pounds, how much should I give him?

Hi Denise,

It was me. My vet said I could give them to Muffin and I did sometimes. She was close to Giz's size and I would usually give her just a half of one of the fruit-flavored chewables. She said I could give her a whole one if that wasn't sufficient. I'd just give it to her and she ate it like a kid would eat candy! :D That should be right down Giz's alley! :D

I've been wondering how he was doing and hoping you'd give an update. Also, did you get moved? :)

I took a guess and gave him a half of a pepto tablet and seemed to have calmed him for a while. Yep Yep, candy looks to be right up his ally! :rolleyes:

A few days after the night from hell he was pretty much back to his old self, aside from this new thing he's doing..but the pepto nipped it for a while. Guess I'm going to have to follow him around like he's a baby and watch what goes in that little mouth. This morning I had to take his baby away cause he chewed the white stuff out of it and had a mouthful...geez.

As for moving, naw..FEMA did give me enough for a new fridge tho. Around here just hearing their name is enough to depress and generally piss off people. My landlord is graciously going to come wipe down the mold and paint over it...when he gets a chance. Giz and I are just about ready for a walk. If it's not too dark outside yet I will snap a few pic of the neiborhood and let you see how much of rita they are still letting us live with. Thanks for asking bout my baby, and thanks for the pepto advice. Be back on in a bit.

It sounds as though he is doing pretty good. I'm very glad of that.

As for the neighborhood, I'm not at all surprised. It is just about all that people say on the news - that FEMA has become more of a four-letter word than anything.

I guess I didn't say, but what my vet told me to give was Tums. We just gave her the fruit-flavored kind and she really did eat them like candy! :D I'm not really familiar with the Pepto tablets. They aren't like the pink stuff in the liquid form, are they? If so, he might get constipated. :eek:
