Weight Lucy is 5 months old and she weighs 7.3 lbs. How much do Yorkies weigh full grown?:aimeeyork |
There is no easy answer to that question! The "standard" is to be under 7 pounds. However, some grow to be much larger then that. Chances are at 5 months old, your baby still has more growing to do- mine continue to grow and fill out until they were about 10 months old. You really have to look beyond your yorkies parents, further in the family tree, to get an idea of how big they will really be. |
My yorkie is 6 months and he is 3.9 lbs.. everyone ask if he IS a teacup... I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF HE IS... SMH |

No one can honestly tell you that a puppy will be a certain wt. there can always be throw backs from generations back. |
You think your purebred is big?! okay so no joke, ive been looking for the average size for a registered full blooded Yorkie and im coming up with anything between 15 to 20 pounds. ive heared NOTHING over 20 pounds. my Snickers is a registered full blooded Yorkie and he weighs 27 1/2 lbs no joke. how is that possible?! |
Oh my i have never seen one that weighs that much but i bet she is beautiful :) mine usually weigh between 3-1/2 to 6 lbs |
More to Love Louie weighed in at 7 pounds at 5 months and now weighs 9.6 pounds at 7 months. Hopefully, he doesn't get much bigger, but it sounds like your baby is on the same path as Louie. It was kind of shocking to me how fast he was growing every time I took him to the vet:eek:. My mom's is 1/3 Louies size at 3.13 pounds:aimeeyork. Just think of it as more to love!!!:D |
I've had full grown yorkie's from 2.5#'s (Ricky lived to 18yrs RIP), to 20#'s (Beemy left us @ 7yrs). All had different & wonderful yorkie personalities! The standard (I believe) is 4 to 7 #s, but many yorkies are not standard. Many humans are not "standard" either.... it doesn't mean they aren't wonderful & loveable! |
Riley was 6 pounds at 6 months. He is 1-year now and weighed in at 8lbs 4 ounces. |
Ziva gained and grew quite a lot between one and two years. She weighs a full 7 lbs and is a lot taller than we ever expected! |
