Yeah the vet said give her 5 days to stop leaking completely and if it's still bad to call them or if she has a reaction to the meds! She said 14 days should be enough to cure it completely but we'll do another analysis on day 13! Bahahaha yes yes designer doggie daipers a la Ashley. I have some pics! Here they are! Here's what you need: 1. Pamper's Baby Dry Size 1. Or any off brand, the store I went to didn't have any no names. 2. A yorkie in heat, incontinence, with UTI... you know all that fun stuff that makes them leak. 3. Cut a tail hole! I reinforced mine with clear tape. 4. Your yorkie now has a quick and easy fix. Hint: premake about 20 of them to make life easier. ps can you tell she was rubbing her head on the ground to get her top knot clippie out! ugh, that girl is such a tomboy sometimes lol. she like to wear clothes, doesn't mind a diaper, but no pretty hair lol |
LOL!! Loved the instructions but where the pic? |
4 Attachment(s) I'm SO dumb... I always "choose file" then instead of clicking "upload" i just "close window" lol and i stinkin deleted them off my camera! Okay took some new ones... kind of the same she didn't look so miserable in the first set! Poor girl! |
OH! She weighed in at 8lbs 6oz!!! Idk if that was right but that's what the scale said. It was a table top scale for medium dogs. |
That is too cute! (I love the sesame street character on them!) Poor Tikka doesn't look like a happy camper, though! |
Haha thanks, I didn't know they were elmo ones until I opened them :D She wasn't a big fan of having pressure on her bladder she was whining and I let her chew my finger during that, OUCH! >8O ... we came home played fetch for a few minutes and then she was ready to nap. You can tell she is starting to feel bad :/ So glad she's on her pills now! |
Thank the Lord UTI. That's no fun but not something awful!!! Probably best news you could get. Give her plenty of love and hugs and rest and patience along with her meds and hopefully that sweet baby will be right as rain very very soon. |
Thanks hopes and prayers are still appreciated for her to heal quick and easy and be pain free! &Yeah she is really taking it easy, sleeping lots and cuddling with me. She was happy to eat her pill because she got a treat too :P I started those at noon today so I'll do it at noon everyday and let you know in 5 days how it looks! She is doing so good with the diapers too! She will lay on her back the whole time I put it on and adjust it without a struggle, so thank God for that too because I couldn't go a whole week with her ripping diapers apart and leaving dark stinky urine spots everywhere haha, I've washed out comforter, futon cover and her bedding like... 5 times in the past week! And we only have COIN laundry... phew that was pricey lol. |
Day 3 on her medicine and she has pretty much stopped leaking, just tiny spots now, like quarter size and less frequent and the smell and urine are getting back to normal. The vet said 5 days before I'd see results but looks like her immune system and body are doing a good job of speeding it up! She's def much more playful than she was before the meds. But I'm holding off on the long walks still, I can tell she's going stir crazy! So 11 more days to go! I left her diaper off all after noon so she could clean herself naturally and only noticed one very small spot where she laid down on her blanket but it'll be going back on for bed time just incase! |
diapers ok mine doesnt leak! take her out before bed..take up all water..she gets up and squats and pee's and lays back down she knows what shes doing:mad: |
Oh my. How old is the little one? |
she's 5 months! |
Did she ever fully potty train or is she still in the potty training process? We have a little play pen type device in the bedroom where the pup sleeps. Her bed is in it and a wee pad, just in case of an "emergency pee or #2" at night. |
