Alternative to c.e.t chews? i bought few packs of c.e.t teeth cleaning chews but problem is he just likes to lick it but not chewing it at all....What can i do with it?. Any other products that do the same thing? ( Please no greenies , heard so much negative feedback online ) |
Trash them, I believe they contain Xylitol... Toothbrushes are safer... |
Britster posted about a new dental chew by HALO that looks really good. I want to give them a try but am having a terrible time finding them in the store and I don't want to order them online because I want to see how hard they are first. You might try finding them. |
CET's gave one of mine the runs so I nixed em. We use bullies and old fashioned brushing. :) Viv |
Sams Yams also makes sweet potstao chews which are also great and super healthy!!! :) V |
Bully sticks and Himalayan chews! I don't think the chews Armaniman is talking about will truly help the teeth that much... they are made by Halo and are dental sticks. They look similar to Pedigree Dentastix and those are very soft and Jackson finishes one in less than a minute, lol. So I don't see how they are too beneficial to the teeth, moreso they are just a good snack. :) |

That being said, I stopped using them becuase they just don't seem to work and the ingredients aren't great anyway. I use Merrick's bully sticks and natural sweet potato chews. I'm looking into Himalayan chews too since they seem to be popular :) However, these products are nice and may help the teeth somewhat, but the only "chew" I've used that does seem to actually clean the teeth is raw turkey necks (I use the Nature's Variety ones usually and outside only while under supervision;)). The other ones are more just for recreational chewing to keep them busy:D and won't replace brushing:) |
