Liver Issues Does anyone out there have any suggestions in what might be okay for me to give "Lacey" for treats. She was diagnosised with multiple liver shunts and is on a low protein diet. She is doing very well..thank goodness...but because she is feeling to good she wants treats like my other dog has (in which I can't give her). I need something with very little protein in it. Thanks:aimeeyork |
Little bits of rice cake, cheerios, fresh fruit and veggies. |
I give Cheerios too. |
She is a tough girl, Ive tried the cheerios and she won't even touch them. I haven't tried the rice cakes...maybe she would like those. I laugh at her. When Im cooking chicken she can smell from the next room and run into the kitchen and sit there in hopes something would be dropped!! |

Thrive makes some wonderful treats. Thrive Foods Healthy Snacks and Treats I give Lady freeze dried cod treats. Cod is actually beneficial to the liver.
