Rescue Remedy Pet We are having issues with Layla in the car. Since she needs special care and has to come to work with me every day, we can't avoid the car rides. We also live 20 minutes out of the city, so it's over an hour of driving total each day. We thought she'd get used to it, but she just hasn't. I was going to try Rescue Remedy Pet, and order it online, since it's not available in Canada. The small bottle only costs $10-12, but the two sites I've tried (allpetnaturals.com and amazon.com) are charging $15-$22 just for shipping  Does anyone know anywhere else that might sell it with cheaper shipping? I understand it's international shipping that will cost a little more, but those prices seem too high for such a little package! |
I have seen it in the Dr Foster and SMith catalog, but its 20 dollars for the bottle, and 5.99 for shipping. I have also seen in at some natural food stores, maybe you could try that??? What kind of problems has she been having? IS it the car ride? |
Oh sorry, i just reread that its unavailable where you live. Sorry, but i did just google it, and found it on amazon for 11.31 with free shipping. Maybe you can try amazon again. and another on there for 8 something with only 1.99 shipping |
Yes, she gets stressed out and pants and cries for most of the car ride... worse in the city than on the highway, but she just won't settle down. She was in a carrier strapped to the back seat but she started nervously chewing and ripped holes in it, so we got her a seabelt harness and now she just screams. It's really tough on her. I've tried sitting in the back with her and it calms her down a little bit, but when we get to the city I can't do anything to distract her, she just pants, paces, and yelps! Only Rescue Remedy for humans is available at stores here in Canada. The difference is the pet version does not contain alcohol, so that's the one I'd like to get for her. I've seen some websites and forums saying just to dilute the human version so the alcohol isn't so concentrated, but if it's something I'm giving her EVERY DAY, I would rather make sure there's no alcohol at all. |

Oh i see. Well thats very expensive. Have you heard of the Thunder SHirts? At the Pet store i go to they sell them. And they have one dog who does the same thing as yours where every they ago, and when they put the shirt on, they said he was a different dog immediatly. It is a snug fitting vest like shirt, that calms them. It may be worth a try. |
Just googled and saw this. It doesn't say anything about not shipping to Canada Rescue Remedy Pet 10 mL by Bach Flower Remedies |
Have you tried HomeoPet Travel Anxiety Drops....I've used Rescue Remedy, didn't work.....but, tried HomeoPet. There's also, Anxiety Drops for Loud Noises. |
I have just tried something new that was mentioned to me by a Rescue Group. It's called Calms Forte ( get the childrens version). It's an all natural product made by Hylands. |

So have you tried a booster seat? Mojo would whimper pathetically during car rides until we got his booster seat. Now that he can see out, he doesn't make a peep! |
