no dinner and weird sleep pattern Question 1: So today is the first full day of having Coco. breakfast i had to hand feed her because she wouldn't eat. lunch she ate on her own and then around dinner time she fell asleep for really long time and just woke up 11:20pm. She peed and pooped by herself on the pee pad! *yay!!!!* (Because I didnt even have to take her there. i was going to wait another 10 mins but she did it herself.) but the part that makes me nervous is that coco still hasn't and isn't interested in eating dinner but is playing by herself. I could also hear her stomach making sounds. I can't tell if this is because she has a tommy ache or its because she's hungry. (her poop seemed normal and is playing by herself) Question 1b: If she falls asleep without eating dinner, should I wake her up to eat? or let her sleep? Question 2: because she got up at 11;20PM from her nap i know she won't be sleeping anytime soon. How can i change this habit? I dont want her to have the opposite sleeping schedule from the rest of the people in this country :P |
update: coco nibbled on few bits and then pooed. it was interesting... it was very soft kind of like diarrhea but instead of being watery like ive witness in mickey it had thick yellow gel like substance to it. she looks fine and is still playing. but at least her stomach stopped growled. i guess back to the vet she goes tomorrow. wondering if its the new treats i gave her today hmmmm... |
I'd first suspect the treats but see what the vet says. Hope she is okay. |
I would wake her to eat and try and let her play a little and then nap again. They do sleep a lot when they are puppies. I would have her checked out tomorrow if she continues to have abnormal poop. I know Cali will get weird poops from new treats so hopefully that's what caused it. That's great she is using the pads. |
i called the vet this morning (i saw him yesterday and he told me to get in contact if her poops weird) and i mentioned about how she pooped twice in 10 min span and the 2nd was suspicious and told him that i did give her a small piece of a duck flavoured treat i bought at the vet's office. and he said since coco was playing as if nothing happened after the suspcious poop the treat probably didn't sit well with her. i was told if she acts weird or has poop like yesterday's i should bring her in. until then just see it as "a disagreement with the treat" |
