OMG he doesn't even look like the same yorkie!!! Amazing..he's gorgeous!!

I have been looking at that site for 30 mins., so very interesting. Her present food is a 3 star.

I am learning so much from this forum.

My Lola is 3 years old and I have had her since she was 4 months old. When I got her, she had the stinkiest face ever! And has had it ever since! Her poor face is so itchy too and all around her lips and eyes is just red. I have taken her to the vet so many times for different meds and nothing really seems to work for the itching. The vet did say she has yeast and bacteria infections. Her face is sooooo stinky that you can smell it when she is next to you on the furniture! About a year ago, all our dogs caught a respiratory infection from another dog and were all coughing. The vet prescribed Baytril for that, and we discovered Lola's face was completely stink-free while taking it. So we went to the vet with this discovery, and she said Lola could take 1 pill a day for a week every 6 weeks or so. She has been stink-free ever since! Now if I could just find a solution for her itches.

I thought maybe it was the grain in her food, so I switched to a grain-free food. It made no difference at all. I haven't tried giving her yogurt. Will that help with the yeast infection and her itchy face? What else will help with her itchy face? I can't really use medicated shampoo on her face because it's not tear-free.

Any help for my itchy girl would be greatly appreciated!

Don't feed or water out of plastic bowls..... stainless steel (made in the USA) or ceramic (lead free glaze) only....

I use Chamomile tea rinse as it's ok to get in eyes & mouth. Others have said Chamomile is toxic to pets, however it is only the plant that can be toxic but the flower is not toxic to pets and the tea is made from the flower not the plant. I have been using this for many years & have had no adverse reactions from it . Also ladyjane said you can use vinegar but I'm not sure if she meant White or Apple cider and I don't know if it's safe to get in the eyes or not so maybe you could PM her & ask. I used white vinegar. There are websites that promote the use of both...so not sure. Ask your vet anyway.
As for getting it in the eyes, there is no reason for that. I mixed it in a small container and poured it over the body...not the head. If there is a fungus on the ears, you can dab it on with cotton balls.
One thing I would avoid is putting it on any open lesions.

I was wondering if you have read the comments within this website about Evo. It appears they have changed something and is not the same product. Food for thought....

She seems to be smelling better today with the medication and shampoo. Added some yogurt to her food, but she's really not liking it, we'll see if it has any impact.

I wish I could put a huge bulletin out to inform people of this! I do tell people I know but they all think I am crazy and tell me people food is bad for dogs. If a person eats junk and processed food and feeds their dog the same, well yes that IS bad. But I eat very healthy and so does Cerise.

Commercial dog is the equivalent for dogs as junk food and processed food is for people.
