Food What is everyone thoughts on Castor and Polluck ? |
Hi Furbaby Dad LadyJane feeds Castor & Pollux to many of her own dogs and to some of the YHR foster pups. She has had some good experiences with the food! Also, Peachbongi recently switched to Castor and Pollux and her dogs are also doing well on it. I'll tell them both to stop by your thread! Also, Castor & Pollux is sold in Whole Foods Market and I usually take that as a good sign as they are into fair trade, etc. ~Cathy |
As Cathy said, I have quite a few pups on Castor and Pollux....all but the ones who need Rx diets. They all love it and do well on it. :) Hope this helps. |

I just saw this food at Whole Foods when I went shopping and almost bought it but had not done any research on it. Thanks so much for the information. I will pick some up to see if the little ones like it. |
It has dried fruits and veggies in it. Most of my pups like that. There are a couple who leave the fruits and veggies...and the others dive right in for the leftovers. :D |
I think C&P is a pretty decent food. I've fed the canned foods before! Jackson loves them. |

Is there a dog food that has the fruit separate from the dried bits? |
LJ feeds the Ultramix...It does have pieces of fruit and vegetables in it. My two tried it and also loved it. The organix is what you posted...that is a different blend. |

I always home feed, but my little man loves kibble as well. I was feeding Evo, but with the buyout I have been forced to make a change. |

Just be sure it is Ultramix. :) |

I haven't heard of one as of yet. |
My babies love the Castor & Pollux. I also get the one with the dried fruit and veggies. They have changed to new packaging, but same food. We have had no issues and no complaints. |
I've found that you will find pro's and con's to just about any product made under the sun. Yes, it certainly is important to do fact finding, research reviews, etc. But at the end of the day, it's the little guy or girl who makes the ultimate decision on whether they like it or not. |
